Marc Marquez will be eager to extend his record at the
San Marino and Rimini Riviera MotoGP by winning the race for the fifth time.

The Ducati Lenovo Team rider claimed a podium spot at the Catalan MotoGP on 7 September, the most recent event on the 2025 MotoGP calendar.
Marquez finished second in the race, but he won the sprint event which saw him accumulate 32 points from the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.
MotoGP title ambitions
The man nickmamed Thunder of Cervera is still placed at the top of the 2025 MotoGP Riders' standings, having collected 487 points from 15 races.
Marquez is 250 points ahead of third-placed Francesco Bagnaia of Ducati and 182 points ahead of second-placed Alex Marquez of Ducati.
Why Marc Marquez could win the 2025 San Marino and Rimini Riviera MotoGP
The 32-year-old is the most decorated rider in the history of the San Marino and Rimini Riviera MotoGP having won the race four times (2015, 2017, 2019 and 2024).
Marquez, who boasts 10 victories in the current season, is a clear favourite to win this weekend's race at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli.
What did he say?
“During this weekend, Alex has been consistently one or two tenths quicker than us," Marquez said said after finishing second at the 2025 Calatan MotoGP.
"I still managed to ride at his pace for the whole race but took some risks with the front-end, which was tucking a lot. With seven laps left I tried to attack him one last time.
"But I ended up wide at turn seven and then again at turn ten: in that moment, I came to the conclusion that second place was the best result. We still got very close to the race win on a track where I struggled a bit more than usual, so I’m happy.”
